Jane Bacot-Kilpatrick (known in multiple continents as JBK) has over 35 years’ experience working in the human services sector. A qualified and experienced executive who can quickly take on those random projects which are essential to your organisation’s success, but which can be a distraction to your business as usual.

JBK has experience in acute and primary health care and aged care in both the UK and Australia building a reputation as a safe pair of hands, able to deliver successfully and consistently in often time-pressured and resource-limited environments. She understands your context.

JBK has well-honed time management skills and an ability to manage complex and conflicting priorities and can bring a determined and solutions-based efficiency to your operations.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
JBK can offer remote support and an ability to quickly understand your objectives, slipping into your organisational set up to support you, and your team, deliver an objective. Jane has a deep understanding of the needs of organisations involved in human services so can be up to speed on context and ready to support you get something achieved without you needing to recruit and appoint a member of staff, losing time and momentum.

Jane brings a pragmatic approach to project oversight so that there is just enough engineering to achieve success without getting bogged down in the admin of a project, maintaining progress and, importantly, morale.

INTERVIEW SUPPORT

Need an independent person on your interview panel with experience in human services? JBK can quickly understand the needs of a role (and can prepare some awesome interview questions) to augment your interview panel and particularly ask the ‘so what’ questions to help you appoint the best person based on competency, character and chemistry.

INDEPENDANT SCRIBE
For interviews or meetings when you either don’t have the capacity, or want to ensure confidentiality, JBK is the go-to person for succinct records of interviews and meetings. If your Board secretary is suddenly unwell and you don’t want to ask another staff member to take the minutes, call and she can acquaint herself with your meeting requirements, take and deliver a draft set of minutes so you don’t have the hassle of reorganising meetings just to ensure you have a minute taker.

MEETINGS MATTER
A day course for those who you need to be able to support a committee from scheduling, agendas, minutes and general administration, as well as helping the committee get the best from their limited time. (Best delivered in person; each course can accommodate up to 12 people).

COMMITTEE SECRETARY
If you don’t have anyone on staff who has the right skill set (and it takes more than just typing to be an effective committee secretary), JBK can provide independent and confidential support to your committee(s).

ADMIN PROJECT
Need someone to action an admin process such as the management of an appointment to your staff or Board. It’s said that paperclips stand to attention when JBK enters the room so JBK can relieve you of the stress and run things for you.
